Dragon Quest is and always has been way better than Final Fantasy.

ff 8 is my first ff , I have more attachment to it than other ff installment😊

I hope if it gets remade or a gets ‘retelling’ where they axe the *no levelling up* part. It really frustrated me when I figured out how that mechanic worked as a child. Triple triad was -the tits- and I always wanted a physical deck but I was heavy into Pokémon cards as a child too (like most of my millennial cohorts), so that was always a given.

SE should really stop handling projects out to third party, at the least for their big titles. Everything they hand out to third party developers turns to fail... dissidia franchise was perfect till they hand it off...

My fav ff game / story

I would have voted for FF6’s Ultima quintuple cast. With soul of thamasa and celestriad, your mage can cast ultima, quick, ultima, ultima, ultima, ultima. It can be acquired much faster than leveling up for the atma weapon and you can substitute whatever spells you want for virtually no MP. You can also quintuple cast in FF5 but there’s no spell as broken as FF6’s Ultima…

actually i was fucking overpowered when i meet zodiark because i didnt have the 10 spers before i finish the game but omega that motherfucker is hard

I would like a remake with ALL THE ORIGINAL IDEAS (and budget). I think it would be a great game given the chance.

If you consider FF12 as more of a world building story and less character centric like FF X, Balthier's position as a mentor to Vaan tells a great story. And in Revenant wings, he acknowledged Vaan that he has now stepped up to be the "leading man" completing his arc as the mentor. They could've made him older though than just being 22. He has been a judge and has probably became a researcher to his father's lab before he escapes and went adventuring with Vaan. Based on his interactions with Cid, we know that he's an excellent son, just a bit rebellious. His animosity towards his father is more about his craziness than just being a bad father. And even then, Cid and Vayne were fighting for the right cause just wrong methods.

Honesty imo squre should give it a break with the new mainline games and just focus on remaking the old games, they would probably find much more success as the last few mainline games havent been all that great.
